Vineyards Azienda Ivaldi Dario – Nizza Monferrato
The wines produced are derived exclusively from the agency’s grapes. The Agency has 8 hectares of vines, of which one half is on the property of the agency itself, and the other half is found in Valle Vento. in the community of Castel Boglione. Most of this land is used for Barbera grapes, and the rest is divided among Moscato grapes, Dolcetto, Brachetto d’Acqui, Cortese, Favorita, freisa. and Chardonnay, The form of the vines is typical of Piedmont, known as Guyot.
The vineyards are in a good location to guarantee sunlight, and the soil is composed of clay, silt, and a small amount of limestone.
The workers in this vineyard are exclusively composed of one family which labors with much dedication for every phase of winemaking from the pruning and trimming, until the harvest. The special care is required in all operations in transforming grapes into wine, using the winepress and stalk remover, fermenting the must into cement barrels with long fermentation, during which the repassing and milling are done manually.
The following phase is a delightful mix of tradition and technology, in a way to obtain genuine wine, maintaining the normalcy and tradition in each vine. Even the selling of the wine keeps the link between the past and present, offering DOC and DOCG wine in demijohn, according to the consolidated traditions. Our bottle selection, since 2001, has enriched the prestige of our winery.
